subscribed! I wanna get some racing in this summer for sure.
Why do all the good tracks have to be in canada
Sounds most tempting…
To add a little to the NASA schedule, race weekends have Fridays for upper experience level drivers (typically no instruction) and Sat/Sun is racing GROUPS and HPDE GROUPS running in different sessions.
Any interested in getting to Mid Ohio or Mosport?
Midohio
Northern Ohio BMW CCA hosts on April 2&3 for nonmembers $378
PCA Ohio Valley hosts on on April 16&17 for $300
Mosport
Genesee valley CCA hosts on July 25-26 on grand prix track for $349
TrackMasters is also a good group to run with at the Glen. You’ll be with an instructor till you can prove you drive but once you do get into the open track groups you don’t have to worry about inexperienced drivers causing issues.
I might be heading to Road America sometime in April if anyone wants to tag along.
I have run with trackmasters before at then glen, its a good option if your looking to get time at the glen.
Road America would be a serious trip, im trying to get to the tracks within 300 or so miles from Buffalo before I even considered a trip like that.
Yeah, I want to hit up some more local tracks but some friends from Chicago came out to the Glen last fall in exchange for me going out to RA with them this spring. Sorta wishing I didn’t make that deal right now but it should be a good time.
last fall I did a Wednesday at black hawk and a sat/sun at road america. I plan on doing something similar this year at least once if you have any interest in making that trip with me. I have a writeup in this section of the tracks and it was a absolute blast.
edit: tolls fucking SUCKED!!! having a trailer.
that sounds so boring, I love getting into “issues” with other drivers
Nelson Ledges has added:

These will be an extended version of the mini school we now offer on our FunDays.
This is a non competition/license driving school being run by Reed Kryder.
It is limited to 25 drivers, $150, what this means is TONS of instruction.
Also they have added some weekend FunDays ($130), currently:

Most schedules for this part of the country aren’t finalized until March / April.
- call / email ahead of time, there are rare cases that the organizing party only wants experienced drivers, and/or novice groups fill up fast.
Thanks fot the update. Please bump frequently. I will do my best to find more time this season.
Trackmasters are an amazing group…if you’re picking one of those I’d suggest you try to go with them first.
I highly recommend PCA events as well. For $325, you get two full days of on track and in class instruction by world class instructors. They will occasionally have professionals as guest instructors.
As far as I know, nobody else can even come close to this value, because the PCA events are so heavily subsidized by the national chapters.
Bump?
Where is everyone going now? I see the Glen limited their rentals and jacked up rates as everyone is charging north of $300 a day.
These new tracks need to hurry up and open.
PCA Niagara usually had the best rates. Track time is probably more limited with them. If you did hooked on driving you would probably get double the time on track, but the price is much higher. More cars drive the cost down, but then you get less time on track.
Like you said the glen is charging more for club rentals now from what I have heard so your going to pay more.
TMP is the cheapest and closest
Definitely check out clubs that host events at Mosport or Mid Ohio, two great tracks within a 300 mile radius.
