Ok so we started with a 2006 350z Roadster, first things first throw the RPF1’s from Sandra on her. So gangster. We then decided it needed an SG exhaust, so we made a cat-back with some dart style tips. All 304 stainless .060 wall piping, tig welded at SG by yours truely.
Next we needed an intake, since the car did not have one. We ran it similar to the Injen intake, out the front bumper for a ram air effect when at speed. We used a BPi flow stack which proved to build 2-3hp across the board vs. a regular 3" K&N filter.
Next we did some dyno testing with Modified magazine and tried Pulstar spark plugs, these crazy things made 10whp! I was amazed, and still do not entirely understand how this happened.
We worked with Stance and Modified magazine again, installing their OEM type coilovers, and are still in the process of developing them, ideally I would like more rear droop so that I am not picking up inside rear tires when lapping. By adjusting the droop adjustment on the damper (similar adjustment to a coilover with body length adjustment) we can gain more droop, however at the expense of suspension travel in bump! (i.e. the suspension will bottom out earlier, and will hinder ride height). To solve this we are going to trim the bump stop that is included with the Stance rear dampers, which will bring us back to the original bump travel and give us more rear droop. By using helper springs in the front we can also gain more front droop!
Just yesterday we installed a Y-Pipe in the car with slight collector modifications and gained 2whp from that. Custom long tube headers are coming up next, as well as Custom front A-Arms and front Brake ducting. Stay tuned!
