Well I finally have most of the bugs worked out on my z and I took some photos of it at the z car show in albany last Saturday. For those of you who don’t know my car it’s a 88 300zx turbo that has been modified a wee bit. the block is a vg33 originally out of a pathfinder, Bored .040 over to make it a 3.4 liter, Forged wiseco pistons(9.5 to 1), Haltech EK6 standalone, T3-T4 60 trim turbo, Jim wolf S2 racing cams(.473 lift, 266 dur.) and valve springs, valve job, porting, forged rods, balanced and blueprinted, 580 cc injectors, tt fuel pump, adj. fuel pressure regulator, Engloid gutted plenum, spearco intercooler, Vacuum actuated cutout before the cat, 350z rims, spec clutch, bigger sway bars, poly bushings, tokico 5 way adj. shocks and springs, tt tranny. I just had the intercooler piping redone by street tuned and it flows nice. Here are some pics
Old piping
New piping
I need to get it tuned and she will surprise some folks.
Sounds like it’s pretty badass. Let us know how it performs when you have it tuned/dyno’d.
Digging the wheels
nice…very clean.
Zawesome!
Nice  what kinda #'s you expecting?
Well, it dynoed 400 at 12 psi before I bought it.That was with stock internals and cams. I am expecting to run 18 psi on pump and 25 on race gas. I should get around 500 on pump gas. We will see if I run out of injector but the haltech system has a nice nitrous function which I plan on using by the end of july. The engine can safely run up to 7800 rpm’s now and will hold over 800 hp but the turbo is the limiting factor.
Yeah the wheels are nice and they don’t need spacers.
i didnt know Jim Wolf did Z31 products as well…good shit
and cool project…i’m a Z32 lover at heart obviously, but i have to appreciate the roots
Looks better, also looks like a pain in the ass motor to work on for some reason.
Looks like a PITA to hide wiring in that bay, Sounds like a stupid fast car though.
amazing… Brian’s was my roomate for two years and this thing never runs… I move out and it instantly comes together and works great…
if I’d known that was all you needed I would have moved out ages ago!!!
I got a ride in this car and it’s pretty quick even untuned and without any real boost… the boost his quicker than my car with a much larger turbo.
Wheels really complement that body style. Updates it perfectly.
looks great man, good to see its all together
was that alum foil on the piping ?
I think so if I remember correctly… the car had some serious home depot racing parts which Brian has done a good job of replacing.
