Rochester Hotel Recommendations?

Going to Rochester for a bachelor party next weekend. Need a nice hotel on East Ave or somewhere close by. Any suggestions?? Any hookups?

+1 for the Strath

what about the East Avenue Inn?

it looks very ghetto from the outside, can’t comment on the inside. if you’re looking to make a lot of noise and party in the room then it might work better?

“If you like excitement, this is the place for you!!! Police cars at the premises, lots of “in and out” traffic, security guards. They cater to weeklong welfare residents. This place is a REAL DUMP!!! Stay away!”

“Five am the next morning I heard a loud knocking on the room below us and someone demanding they open their door. Hearing people talking outside my exterior window I looked out to see two men with their hands on their guns in street clothing. I call the frontdesk and they notifiy me the parole dept. is attempting to collect a parolee.”

“CONS: I had to be moved because the 1st room was infested with mice. I was told it was due to the proximity of the room to where the hotel keeps its trash. When I got to the second room, the small fridge was full of half-eaten food, and the bathroom was disgusting. I questioned whether or not the sheets were changed, but I will spare you the gross details as to why.

:meh:

www.strathallan.com didn’t get really good reviews either… Any other suggestions?

the strath has had a bunch of good review from friends of mine who have stayed there… it also looks like a classy place.

you can always stay at the Inn On Broadway for ballin’ status…

the strath falls between the two in quality beyond that you’re taking a decent hike or a taxi to east/alexander

Strath is little dated. Hyatt is nice, Crowne Plaza is decent. But strath is nearest to where you want to be…

Nice hotel + Bachelor Party = Gay

Get a shit hole and wreck it. :carnut:

I’ve stayed at the East Ave Inn a couple of times when I’ve got to Crapchester for drunken debauchery. It’s fine. Cheap, but not really ghetto. Can’t beat the location.

I normally would agree, get black out drunk and sleep anywhere. It’s just that ever since I saw that segment on Dateline about motels/hotels with bed bugs and dried jizz on the walls I’ve started to be a little more picky :mamoru:

Hyatt’s nice, as well as Clarion / Riverside (whatever its called now), Crowne Plaza used to be the place to stay, but last summer I heard it was a dump, & the name changed on it. IDK whats changed since then though.

The Hyatt is nice, a little dated as well.

Anything in rochester can be had stupid cheap on priceline.

east ave inn is within walking distance of all the bars, pretty cheap rates and overall the room quality was fine
