Some may recognize the name, I’m around on Roclife, buffaloscooby and have been around forums for quite a while. Mostly a lurker. I came over here to see what this forum was all about and also try to sell my 1 series. (Go check it out!)

Anyways, for those of you who don’t know me, my name is Kiva. I currently go to RIT but was in the Marine Corps before starting school. Pretty laid back, but this is a car forum so lets cut to the chase. I’ve become somewhat of a car whore and have had some toys. Here is the rundown:

First car: 2002 Audi TT 180. Might as well get this out of the way. This was from high school and I had some pretty good times in it. Looking back it was actually a great first car from a practical standpoint. I couldn’t really fit many people in it, it sat 4 but realistically only 2 could fit. It was safe, AWD, and slowwwww. I thought it was quick obviously because it was the quickest thing I drove to that point but I’m pretty sure a mini van could slap it around. Good times. It was sold while I was in Afghanistan but I had a few good years with it.

First picture. (Please excuse the stickers. It was high school and they at least didn’t last very long)

Yikes.

Stole this one from the current owner:

First notable: 2008 Subaru Sti hatch. This had an AMR t60r on a stock block for about 30k miles pushing just north of 400whp. Eventually it blew up (thanks subaru!) and then I went into the built block phase. Got a built block with a full manley internal set of goodies and added to it an ATP gtx3582r. Low and behold the piston rings never seated themselves on cyl 1&3 and boom goes the second block. So, I decided to throw in the towel on things that really needed to be built up/reinforced, and quite frankly didn’t give you that over-engineered peace of mind. Granted, I likely took some miss steps which I can own up to but like I said it was time to move on. However, I was in the subaru community for quite some time so feel free to ask questions because I do know a good bit or can at least point you in certain directions.

The sti:

They always look so good on a tow truck… (first motor)

Onto the current toys.

2009 BMW 135i (In the for sale section). I bought this car shortly after my subaru blew up. I needed a car right then and there and I wasn’t ready to give up the subaru quite yet. I always loved the awkwardness of the coupe design and it always stood out to me. It really isn’t like any other coupe on the road and I loved the way it looked. Then, I drove it. Funny thing was the first time I drove it off the lot it was snowing and I was on summer run-flat tires. I made it home without a hitch and was pretty impressed. Soon after there was a day with dry roads and it was about 40 degrees so I got on it and was amazed. The car was so much quicker than I thought it would be. After the subaru experience, however, I obviously needed more so I added to it the JB4 and downpipes. Then came an awkward moment because I was so pissed off that I just put $1,300 into the bmw and had a car that would slap my Sti around that had about $25k into it. However, none the less, it was awesome. I’ve only owned 4 cars but have driven many (z4, z4m, 740iL, 760i, list goes on) and this is my 2nd favorite to date. Anyways, here’s the 1:

Right before I got rid of the subaru. Nestled in the garage with the z4m…

Which brings me to my favorite. I finally came to terms with selling the subaru to a good friend who I knew would fix it up right and I was okay with that. Sold it, had some cash laying around, and decided to go after something I’ve always loved. The C63 AMG. For any of you who have heard one go by or seen youtube videos you have to admit it is a sound to hear. The AMG roar was something I had to have. Coming with a gas guzzling “6.3” v8 and a ton of awesome power and I was instantly sold. A quick note about the mileage, even though it is rated at 12/18 I actually end up getting 20+ mpg over time. If I go out and mess around obviously I don’t, but over the past 2k miles I’ve averaged something like 19.7 which was awesome, and made sense. Everything on the car I have found thus far is underrated. It comes listed at 451bhp and it has all of that and then some. You sit in crazy seats that have the tightest bolsters I’ve come across (which you can adjust anyway) and the experience you get from the car is one that you can’t really put into words. I am convinced that as long as I can afford one I will have an AMG to drive around. I’m actually looking to replace my 135i with something like an e55 if I can find a decent one around. Anyway, some final pictures to the intro:

When I picked it up:
