Rough start to 2010 Olympics...

Not sure if anyone has heard of this yet but a 21 year old Luger from the Nation of Georgia died today during practice on what is said to be the fastest Luge track in history in Toronto. Very brutal and sad story.

oh wow, that is brutal. rip.

that was fucking brutal. RIP

Omg. rip

Jesus fucking christ.

RIP.

man ,what a way to go .my god

I really wish I didnt watch that, at least he died doing what he loved.

RIP

not to mention fucking instantly.

I literally saw his life leave his body.

RIP.

holy shit though, seriously…wtf are those poles doing exposed like that…though it looks like he hit head first so I doubt some padding would’ve made a difference.

now they’re going to pussy up the track though, I’m sure.

Thats a ridiculous sport, I forgot how fast they go!!! He died instantly and doing what he loved, but still, horrible accident, RIP.

its crazy and i wouldn’t be suprised if this isn’t the last life taken from this track. multiple other people have had a tough time making it to the end/wrecked on it already.

I saw the video of the incidient on NBC morning show. Rough to watch.

Here is a novle idea? plexy glass the track in on top!!! That contains the riders, you can still see them clear as day and you wont fly off the track ar 100MPH+ 4-5G’s in a corner.

RIP to that dude for sure…
