Ruger 10/22

Got one

CHEAP Ammo, lots of mods. Anyone else own one of these?

Yep
Banana clip or drum clip?

yep fun gun

Def a fun little shooter and lots of interesting mods.

I just ordered some TI 25 round mags for it, new extended mag release, buffer, and other random junk. Looking for a scope now.

Yea I got one 2, it’s fun to shoot.

I had one then moved on to a .22 conversion for my AR. Like that a lot better.

Bump.

Looking to dust off my 10/22 and get some fun aftermarket stuff for it to make a nice assault plinker. Nothing like going all commando on tin cans

Anyway, i’ve been looking around and have been working on making a decision between 2 stocks:

1: Tapco Intrafuse

2: ProMag Archangel

After reading a shitload of reviews, both seem to have a list of pros and cons whether it be in fitment, function etc. It’s looking like they are both really good and people just seem to like whichever they tried first better.

Anyone on here have any experience with either? Or have any other suggestions?

Not that it helps you, but I recently picked up a s&w m&p15-22 and I absolutely love it. I think I will be getting a ruger 10/22 next.

I think my brother has the Tapco in olive drab iirc. I’ll take a look next time I stop over but if it was it has a pretty decent feel to it, not too flimsy given the price.

I have heard great things about them, i’m also interested in the GSG5, but upgrading my 10/22 would be well under $300 so currently that’s my point of interest lol.

yep the tapco is really cheap, the archangel is only $10-20 more, so they are within the price range of each other

I just got a Volquartsen Custom based on the 10/22. At 50 feet it can put 3 rounds threw the same hole, at 100 yards its sub 1moa, which for a 22lr is about as good as it gets due to the ammo.

Mine looks like this, but it has the forward blow compensator on it. I have 4 AR’s that I thought ran like a sewing machine, this thing changed my ideas of what a quality gun is. I will never shoot better than this thing. Like they say, you can make a marksmen, but you have to buy accuracy.

I absolutely love the versatility of the 10/22. ^^^that is a prime example.
For this one, however, i want to go for pure enthusiast enjoyment. Maybe down the road I’ll pick up another one and make it a needle threader, but this one i’m only looking for quick target acquisition and cheap AR-style fun. I want a bunch of picatinny addons that aren’t necessary (foregrip, tac light, laser) and a knock-off Eotech like this one :

so, with that, some things like this as well:

and then, of course a stock that I’m trying to decide on. for reference:

Neither, go with the Nordic components kit.

The nordic kit looks interesting. They make good stuff, I want some of their parts for my 930spx.

gah… i hadn’t seen that kit yet. It’s more expensive… but MUCH higher quality, and any AR accessories work on it… You may have just convinced me sir.

lol, they are very nice, and if you grab an aftermarket barrel from a company like tacsol you will have a set up that is in the 4.5 lb range and be more accurate than you ever ask for.

yeah i can imagine… the versatility to build as i go is way more appealing. the barrel would be the last thing i get though, since i’m not immediately looking for accuracy.

looking at that page there are 2 kits… mid length and rifle length… i’m not entirely sure which way to go?

Just get the clam shell. then buy the free float tube and stock when find one that you like.

alright, good idea. thanks for the great info, i’m glad you showed this to me before I bought one of the other two i was looking at.

I have one I bought for my son. I figure for his 5th birthday I’ll give it to him. I’ll have the get a solo picture of it… Only mods on it so far are stainless barrel, scope mount and scope.

Oh and see my sig for any further gun stuff if any of you guys are interested.
