Rumored Subaru motorcycle

Would it be 2 Wheel Drive with H engine, just kidding :lol

It’s rumored that this bike could be branded a Subaru. Powered by a Fuji Heavy Industries – Subaru’s parent company – 500cc single-cylinder engine, it could also herald a new era of challenging-to-ride, low-capacity sportsbikes. While the styling is a bit generic for our tastes, the beefy, Chinese-made frame and swingarm are promising. The whole thing looks very production ready, so expect to see more of it, possibly in a Subaru dealership in Asia, very soon.

looks dangerously close to a 600rr… :nono

Except for the rear end are hell of alot beefier then a 600rr

Haha itd be sick if it was turbo and 2wd :lol

Still kinda sick

Yea i agree deff look like a 600rr

some manufaturer needs to make a bike that looks like a sportbike, but with a tamer motor.

What would be the point? :shifty

for to not kill teh noobs who want to look c00l

Thats worst idea ever for the record.

:+1

new ninja 250 already achieved that, and I think one bike is good enough for wannabe cool looking noobs

how the hell is a sport-bike looking rig with a tame motor is a bad idea?
noone’s making you ride it.
and if less n00bs who need a flashy bike buy them, then less of them will crash 600cc bikes
and the insurance on them won’t be so damn ridiculous.

If your getting a bike just to look cool you are dumb. That bike is pretty nice looking…becuase it looks like a Honda. It most likely has lead frames based on the toys coming out china, and if I see that thing going down the road next to me I’ll Road Rash style hit the rider with a pipe. Good Day

Personally it doesn’t like a good market strategy. Don’t you think companies may have thought of this idea? I’m sure it’s been tossed around in a meeting with some sort of manufacturer. It’s all about money in today’s market. I don’t think they would sell and i’m sure most major companies can agree that they wouldn’t push alot of flashy lookin bikes with “tame motors”.

Which was going to bring me to my next point being made, Vlad. I’m curious to see since Kawasaki has re-designed the 250 how it will do in the market in 2008

indeed.

if you think that they will sell any worse then the older style 250s then you’re out of your mind.
how much better they will sell - now that’s an interesting question.
my guess - by a shitload.
time will tell.

i completly agree…sales for the 250 are going to sky rocket now

:wtf OK well I didn’t think they’d sell any worse then an older style 250 but thanks for making that assumption. I’m sure their will be some sort of margional increase. I don’t think they’re going to go through the roof or “sky rocket” (like this b16a09128fjk kid is thinking ::)), I do think there is going be an increase on them though.

I still think the best bang for your buck on a “starter” bike is the SV 650. They’re light and they are not too crazy peppy like a true 600cc bike.

On another note don’t you think if this was such a good marketing strategy every other manufacturer like Yamaha, Honda, and Suzuki would be putting out a bike similar to the 250? Absolutely. Yes there’s a demand for them, not a big one though, because you would see more then just a Kawasaki Ninja 250 if there was.
