streatching and hydration = less cramps /
Ive run X-country and track for 5 years in middle and high school. If the cramp that you are describing is what I think it is, all you have to do is use your muscles to “push” your stomach out while you take a breath. The cramp is caused by your diaprahm and when you “push” your stomach out it uses muscles that will relieve he cramp. When I say push its kinda like a flexing of your abs. When you breathe in, tighten your abs as though someone is going to punch you in the stomach. Let me know if this helps.
thanks guys. I think the majority of the problem was I was not Hydrated enough.
I was jogging yesterday and I started to cramp up in about a half mile only running at 75%
I’d slow to a walk and raise my hands above my head and the cramp would go away for maybe another 1/2 mile and come back. I think it was a combination of lack of hydration and what you guys said.
I love running, I try to run for an hour every other day. Sometimes I cramp up, usualy because I just ate.
