I am the owner. Only had it two months. I’ll check out an some other forums. VIN:WB105170xbzv42800
Some sites to keep an eye out on besides bmw s1000rr ones, CL and eBay
Racer’s buy race bike with no title all the time, It is not uncommon for race bikes to have no title. Just saying; Stuff like wheels and suspension bits people will jump on it to get it. This is why I am saying you need to post on race forums with the VIN info so people can check if someone try to sell parts.
Hmm, they removed the seat? I wonder why, maybe they were looking for an alarm
A friend of a friend’s 2009 Repsol Edition CBR1KRR was stolen off the street in the middle of the day about a month ago. It was caught on camera, three dudes in a mini van picked it up and threw it into the back of a minivan, but they couldn’t make out the plate. No insurance.
In the cap region or NYC?
NYC (Brooklyn)
Man, makes me want to chain up my bike when it’s outside, especially with recent history of doors being checked in cars to see if open and my bike being vandalized last year.
But if these guys are cutting 3/4 inch chains not much one can do.
oh no joe tersigni. good luck man,
-wheeler.
cable chain is easier to cut than link chain though
I’d like to see them cut through this:

It is crazy to have no insurance on a relative expensive bike…
Every little bit helps. Put a cover on, chain lock and a disk lock. The more time they think they have to spend on it the more likely they will pick another target. Most of the locking stuff is NOT really for so they can’t steal it, it is more for so they will pick another one that don’t have them.
If they REALLY want your bike, they will steal it no matter what.
I will def keep my eye out, always sucks to hear shit like this, the world is full of scumbags.
This man speaks the truth. It helps if your bike is not a Harley or doesn’t have fairings, but all bikes get stolen, aside from Goldwings maybe. The only real peace of mind you can get is full insurance, but a cover with a prominently visible lock on the bike helps as a deterrent at least.
Can’t be that many beemers running around this area, the thief may just be dumb enough to go riding it. I’ll keep an eye out.
true, and the bike wasn’t registered either. he had been riding it around with expired reg and no insur for months :banghead
Goodluck with getting this back, I hope you do. I had a buddy get his r1 stolen on a test ride… Thats gotta suck watching the guy just take your shit with you standing there.
When happened to the good old days of “test ride with cash in hand”…
Yeah that other kid with the other one of these bikes is my cousin very nice bike . . . hope he gets it back
