On my 95 240sx all the dash lights went out, the gauges still work but no illumination in the cluster or on the shifter (its auto) the fuses all have continuity what should be my next step? also if anyone knows where there are wiring diagrams for my car online i’d appreciate a link.
continuity, you mean you put the volt meter on resistance and put one prong on each sid eof the fuse?
or 12V test light and check for power on both sides?
GO with a fuse problem…
IIRC, on one of my S13’s the dash lights were out as well as the taillights (not brake lights), it was all one fuse.
i put my multimeter on resistance and check to see all the fuses are good and they are what is “iirc”?
IIRC is If I Recall Correctly.
Check fuses. Have you recently had your cluster out? Might be a short, or a pinched wire.
i just got the car i havnt taken the cluster out yet, if i had the diagram i could chase down the problem with my multimeter but i havnt had any luck finding it. my tail lights still work and i have no blown fuses so that eliminates the possibility that its just a fuse (dammit!)
how did you use the multi-meter?
checking for 12V or circuit continuity?
because the curcuit will be full checking from both sides of a blown fuse.
using resistance to see if the fuse is still good

I suggest you pull out your fuses and check them visually. Though sometimes they are blown and don’t look like it, most of the time you can see it visually.
problem solved the previous owner jamed the dimmer switch in and bent one of the prongs, thanks everyone.
