It was a little bit crooked before I painted it, and when I mounted it back on after paint it seemed to be even more crooked.
Like an increase in the direction it was crooked in the first place so passenger side was raised up a bit and driver side of the hood was sunken a bit.
I did notice the hood hinges were a little loose and had play side ways.

How much play is in the hinges? Enough that the hood moves if you grab it from the back when its closed?
Im not sure I want to recommend this but it’s worked for me in the past.
Grab three people and while one holds one side of the hood the other two try to bend the other. You won’t bend the hood but the hinges will tweak enough to hopefully get your desired result. This is hit or miss but if you’re planning on replacing the hinges then it may be worth the risk.
