Will the S14 SR20DET tranny bolt up to the S13 SR20DET with no modification? If so, why would one do this? alittle stronger? How hard is it to find a S14 tranny seperatly? I saw it done as was just curious, thanks guys. One more question, will any other trannies bolt up to the S13 SR20DET with little/no modification?
yes, all sr20det trannies bolt up to sr blocks. all fs5w71c should work as long as you have an sr bellhousing. None are noticeably stronger.
If they aren’t stronger, then whats the purpose? For fun? haha
I didnt think there was any diffrence between the s13 and s14 trannys.
just for availabilty, and lower kms. Just like buying a S13 black top SR20DET engine.
You could always go with the s15 sr20det tranny, it is 6 speed. if you can find one. it’ll be expensive though.
but it’s weaker.
yeah about 1800 that would set you back, with sensors.
