KA Tranny on SR engine/SR tranny upgrade??

Hey guys,

well i’ve blown my 2nd SR20DET tranny in like 5000kms and i am fed up.

I’m just going to put my KA tranny on with the SR bell housing.

just a few quick questions:

A) will the tranny from a KA24E work on the SR?
B) Do i use my existing SR clutch (and release bearing)
C) how do i go about swapping the bell housings??

and the biggest question:

is there a upgrade kit for the S13 SR20DET?? like ballpark of $1000-$3000 or so.

ka24e tranny is the same as the ka24 de tranny

I asked Chris St.John about the bell housing swap a couple weeks ago. He said it is a pretty majior job, you have to take all the guts out and swap them over… just relaying what I heard.

And Chris, the release bearing mover piece is called the clutch fork.

there are also nismo gear sets but I cannot find them…

S14 tranny? same thing but newer, perhaps your problems are that you are getting beat trannies…

i’m on the hunt for an S15 6 speeder… i dont care if they are suopposed to be weaker, they’re also alot newer.
