like the title says in desperate need for a manual transmission for an s13 sr20det. im pretty sure a ca18det transmission will work as well but if anyone has any info regarding this please let me know. located in calgary.

I have a tranny, im in lloyd though.
if your tranny is blown, you can use the bellhousing and put it on a ka24de tranny, or a ca18det tranny, both will work, but you need to use YOUR bellhousing. There is lots of literature about changing bellhousings on the net, its not for the beginner, its more of an intermediate thing, so maybe get a tranny shop to do it.

13 bolts and 2 c-clips. Mounting a bumper is harder. It’s the actual dropping and shit that’s harder.
But yea jsut buy a KA tranny and swap bell housings.

wat do you mean mounting a bumper is harder? and the the actual dropping of the tranny is harder?
He means pissing around with a bumper is more of a task relative to simply swapping bellhousings. Then he means that physically getting the tranny out of the car so you can swap bellhousings is the hard part. 8)

yes there is gearing differences, the ka24 gears are a bit taller from what i have read. If you are in a pinch just do it, itll take the power no problem
