KA tranny bolting up to SR engine

Hey everyone, i heard the rumor that the KA transmission will bolt up to the SR20DET engine, the tranny i have is off of a KA24D (SOHC) (not sure if there is a difference between the tranny on teh KA24D and the DE) and as far as i can tell from starting at them, it will work but i would have to swap the bell housings. Any other info / help would be awesome and greatly appriciated,

Swap the bellhousings.

Edit: and maybe the dust plates, depending on your propeller shaft.

Roger that, you need to swap the bell housings.

Search on freshalloy and Zilvia there is a good explanation of how to do it.

Thanks guys but i’ve decided not to mess around with this because it most likely won’t hold up to me kicking the sh!t out of it. Ordering a new SR tranny as we speak.

Out of curiosity, whats the price of a ‘new’ SR tranny? or are you buying a remanufactured unit.
