Sad day... unions killed the Twinkie

And an 82 year old company.

…A victim of changing consumer tastes, high commodity costs and, most importantly, strained labor relations, Hostess ultimately was brought to its knees by a national strike orchestrated by its second-largest union…

WHAT? Hostess is going out of business? Just when we’re starting to legalize pot??? They couldn’t hold on a couple more years?

way to go guys, had to go and ruin it for everyone.

Now what are we going to eat after a nuclear apocalypse?

At least the twinkies already made have a half-life of about 200000 years.

Anyone remember these?

They stopped selling them in the late 90s I believe…RIP tasty delicious treats.

After not having nor desiring a Twinkie for probably 10 years I suddenly want one really bad. Like I will probably stop at the store on the way home for lunch and buy a pack.

oh you want a twinkie now? 20 dolla

I loved those. They were my lunch snack of choice in high school.

I’ve read atlas shrugged a few too many times. I shouldn’t enjoy that the union laborers on strike now don’t have a job, but I do. :frowning: I’m only 30 I shouldn’t be this jaded.

I’m going to miss Ho-Hos.

“Obesity down 10% due to hostess going out of business a year ago.”

Black hos are the best. I remember going to Wilson Farms with my dad and getting the fruit pies 2 for $1. Lemon was good and Strawberry was delicious but it’s a rare find.

I do love their mini muffins :frowning:

Same here f teamsters. Idiots

Ever since you read that hate propaganda from Ayn Rand you’ve changed man.

They used to have chocolate ones with chocolate chips…fuck yeah

Kind of figured you were into the muffin tops.

I’m headed to the store RIGHT MEOW!
