I just had a safc 2 installed in my 89 ca18 240… i do not yet have my tach rewired yet nor i have i replaced it with the 91+ cluster… so i have no working tach right now… would this cause the safc2 to not be able to get a tach signal??

sorry, to ask u a question wen ure asking one, but does ure tach not work beacuse of the swap, or putting in the safc?

its because of the swap…which is expected since its not 91+
I installed AFC NEO last month in my 90 sr 240. Your tac on the cluster does not work because of the cluster itself, not the engine computer. The signal from your engine computer should be read fine by the SAFC. Check your wiring for the SAFC.
