If a car is 10 yrs old nys doesn’t brand the title, under the 10yr mark they will brand it. However if the vehicle is wrecked and insurance doesn’t pay out on it then 99% of the time they stay clean title
And once a car is branded after its 10yrs old they won’t brand the title if you request another title or you sell the vehicle
