Can you sand a CF with a glossy finish and then respray it with a matte clear?
or can you just add a matte clear over a prepped (for paint) cf to give it a matte finish…
this is going to go on my road bike frame that im building… but i figured some of the car guys would know
you can lightly scuff the surface of the clear/gelcoat on CF with like 600 grit paper and then spray matte clear on it. AL-Wil (IeatPaint) sells matte clear

it looks decent… If you can find the thread from carlisle a few years ago with a flat blue STI…that was done with matte clear over the factory world rally blue.
