For anyone who is looking for something to do Saturday and doesn’t mind getting a little dirty for a beer reward, I am picking up a 98 Dodge Ram tomorrow and need to get it completely torn down as quickly as possible. If anyone is looking for something to do and would like to help, let me know. I will supply some cold refreshments in the form of beer and soda (for those who don’t want beer). Just let me know if you are free and would like to lend a hand.

A guy on CL is practically giving it away. Its already been partially parted so there are some missing pieces (trans, tailgate, tail lights, etc) but I mainly want it for the bumper and interior pieces to get my truck back to 100% and actually be able to sell it (hopefully). The reason I am in a hurry is because my dad already has a bunch of shit at his house so he doesn’t want this there very long. So basically its getting 100% stripped down and whatever isn’t worth selling is going to the scrap yard.

Yes, it needs to be completely stripped to the frame. The trans. is already gone so the motor will be very easy esspecially once the cab is lifted off. I do not have a lift, but I do have a trac steer for lifting the heavy panels.

I love stripping cars and have plenty of experience from helping take apart tons of demo derby cars but Ive gotta work Saturday.

Bring whatever you like… lol. My dad does have oxy-acetalyne torches so no need to bring the torches. And he has a few grinders as well so you don’t have to. All I ask is that you don’t go crazy and damage any good parts…lol. If anyone knows someone that might want the bed or cab please let me know b/c I don’t have the room to store them at my house so they will most likely be going to the scrap yard. If you know someone, then they can have them for $75 each or both for $120 but they must be able to get them Saturday or Sunday. I am not sure of the conditions at the moment, but they are supposedly in decent shape (some rust, but not extensive).

It is the 6th house on the left. Green house with a black 2nd Gen. RX7 next to the road and my truck and trailer should be there as well.
I will be getting there between 9 and 10 and will be there most of the day until either its done or I just plain can’t do any more… lol. For those who will def. be showing up, any preference on beer?
Also, please let me know if you are definitely going and what time you think you can be there. I just want to make sure that we don’t have 20 people trying to work in a small space; and so I can let my dad know before a ton of people show up at his house… lol.

what size is the bed and how much rust
I believe its a long bed but I’m not 100% sure. Its got a decent amount of rust. I am going to stop by my dad’s on the way home to take some pictures and I’ll post one up.
is there seats in it still if so what kinda of shape are they in
The only parts of the seats that I saved and were still in good condition are the center lower seat (no folding console/backrest), and the pass. side back support (no lower cushion). The brackets for both are still attached and in good shape.
