That’s hot.
this engine needs to find its way into more cars.
:bsflag: to challenging the s2000…
jk…seems like a hot ride. Somone buy me boost cause i’m sad
This drivetrain also - small RWD cars ftw
dude, more cars means everything that has a shitty as 130hp 2.*l engine, not just 1 other car. they need to make their whole line fun to drive.
this is what should be in the cobalt ss, not something with a crappy sc; or maybe be like acura, and toss it in some of the smaller suvs.
The S/C isn’t crappy…but anyway for 2008 the cobalt is aparently getting a version of this turbo motor rated at 270hp
We have on of the non-redline Sky’s at the shop, and wow is all i can say. Its like a mini corvette. Full chassis, very triangulated, independant rear sus, 4 corner double wishbone… nice car, for sure.
by comparison. yes it is
Hm, I have a completely different opinion on the non-redline Sky. When I first saw it, I was in love… and when I was ready to possibly buy (if the car was what I wanted after I test drove it), I went out to the dealer and bombed around in her for a while.
All I can say is it’s a nice car to buy your wife to look pretty in, but it sure as heck was not a car I would buy for the driving experience. The interior is no where near what a $25kish car should be… it was simply shoddy and cheap looking and feeling. This is a personal thing, but the dealer guy had to hold my purse because with his legs in the passenger foot well, there was no room for it, which was mildly annoying. Also, the body panels sat at very funny angles that made it look like it wasn’t pieced together correctly. Then when driving, the car more felt like I had to try and convince her to push it. Pedal to the floor and there was none of the butterflies in the stomach, which is what I live for, and I couldn’t get her to do anything exciting around a corner (granted, I was taking it somewhat easier because of the dealer in the car with me, but I couldn’t even get EXCITED about taking it around a turn. It was so average feeling).
Anyway, after one test drive, the non-redline was out for me. Overall looks wise I still think she’s beautiful, but I couldn’t convince myself to spend that amount of money on something that wasn’t exciting. I thought about holding off for the redline, but I still couldn’t justify spending that type of money on a car I was feeling rather iffy about… and I wanted a car asap, so the waiting thing was an issue too. I still think you could buy a cheaper vehicle and use the saved money to do mods that will make it a heck of a lot better than the stock redline. But again, I haven’t driven that one.
Not a bash on the Sky at all… like I said, I used to be in absolute LOVE with her… I just realized she wasn’t what I was looking for, and that was disappointing at the time.
I agree with you. The interior is not good at all. But looks of it are amazing. I really thought about getting the redline sky, but I needed a all year round car.
very nice !!!
thats just an american car thing. they have to cut corners some where to make up for what the union costs them.
not to shabby
