I knew it had to be possible there are too many straight pipe TDI cars out there.
Does the warranty carry over through new owners? would it have to be certified used or could I buy one from any joe blow on Craigslist?

Warranty covers the car doesn’t matter where you get it.
Or how many owners it had up until the mileage. The cover
go go buy a car from Joe blow
So is this a custom :snky: tune, or an off the shelf tune? I was under the impression that none of the commercially available tunes handled this.
Wrong thread
Just picked up a 2011 and drove it back from South Carolina. I’m really impressed with the feel of the car. It’s peppy (for a DD/winter car) and gets 40+ mpg? Yes please. I never really thought about tuning it but after seeing some of the things available I’m certainly considering it.
Is it bad that I want to lift it?
for the record I fucking LOVE that car
No there is no name brand tuner willing to risk violations
Malone is the closest but still fails inspection
if you do buy one pm I can give you the name of a private tuner who can
That car is the reason I’ve thought about lifting it.
There is a New Beetle on Main near Wehrle that is lifted and they made it look like an air cooled Baja Beetle. Pretty cool for a New Beetle.
Someone should build a lifted smyth ute.
I first saw this only a year or so ago. That stupid american top gear guy had his own show and built one of theses. Kinda cool and a lifted TDI one with mud tires would be pretty cool.
I didn’t think it was possible to make a Ute look any worse. Sadly, I was wrong.
C’mon, there’s a way to make anything look worse. You in spandex for example. :eek3:
