Anybody have any experience with rubbing compound? does it work? i dont have pics to take cuz it’s not my car but its like…light brush looking scratches less than 4 inches in radius

it all depends on the depth of the scratch. Also, any compound no matter how good it is doesnt work that well when applied by hand. You have to use a buffer in most cases to get the best outcome.
As far as compounds go, most anything is good, i havent use a bunch of different companies to say whats good and what isnt. I would think, any name brand compound from a parts store would do just fine, but agian, putting it on by hand only goes so far (that is assuming you dont have a buffer)
as long as its not into the basecoat u can wetsand and buff it out

If it’s in the clear, some ScratchX or Scratch Doctor should work.
I prefer Poorboy’s SSR2.5 for Swirl Marks and Light Scratches. Won’t find it at Wal-Mart or Pep Boys though.
Of course, I use the SSR2.5 with a Porter Cable 7336 DA Polisher.
