Seafood places needed

My 3 year anniversary is coming up soon and I want to surprise the hubby with a REAL seafood place. With real lobsters and crabs and things that were swimming yesterday. I was thinking about one of the sushi places or hibachi grills, but I want a nice seafood place. Maybe not dress up in a tie and I hate wearing dresses.

I live in North Tonawanda. there is one place called the BoneFish Grill near by that looks promising, anyone heard anything about it?
Thanks in advance.

Bone fish is about as fresh as any other local chain restaurant.

If you want fresh and special plan a trip to Boston or NYC for dinner or the weekend … Almost any coastal town will have fresh seafood

I wish I had the time or money to do that, now THAT would be a great anniversary present! I’m looking for places around here.
Maybe for the 5 year anniversary.

Cape cod is the best coastal place for seafood. Around town? Um I have yet to have a good lobster or crab legs.

:word:
try the outback … it’s pretty good… bone fish is a nice place…

Harry’s Harbor front is pretty good as well along with Shanghi Reds

hyde park seems to have very fresh sea food as well as fine steaks

hyde park kicked ass, but the mashed potatoes alone were 18$

If you want sushi, id say Sea-Bar is the best hands down in Buffalo. Mike Andrzejewski is an incredible chef and has extrmely fresh ingredients. Kuni’s,Fuji Grille and Wasabi are all pretty good to

I had one of the best pieces of mahi mahi i have ever had at Shango on main street. Its not really a seafood place but they do have fish on the menu and most importantly they know how to cook it.

shango fucking rules… I love that place soo much… IMO A great place for an anniversary

in Boston…the coast is where they catch the fish bring it in the back door and cook it…

Dude, you have to go to Captains Cove on Dick Rd. It is right near our shop. Super fresh seafood in a casual setting at very reasonable prices. The Alaskan King Crab legs are the shiznit.

just came back from oceanaire in DC recently. it’s one of the best out there. if you guys ever go there, try the ugliest and the best tasting fish, it’s called the monk fish!!

Word their food is really fucking good. I went to the stillwater paid 2x as much and the food blew.

Oh to the OP bone fish is pretty much carabbas with fish. Not really a bad thing because when people shit on chain food i always bring them up as chain food done right. Having said that their fish is sort of limited. They usually have like 5 different varities then they prepare how you prefer. You wont get any good shell fish there.

If you ever do make it out to “Boston” here is my FAVORITE seafood place. Its in Plymouth Ma (ya know Plymouth rock) Nice little board walk area and stuff. You eat RIGHT ON THE PIER, wile watching the fishermen bring in the catch to the back door of the resturant/store. My inlaws are out there and everytime we visit i MAKE SURE that i get a meal at woods.

Lobster meals like 2 lobsters and fries for like $25! But my Favorite meal is the broiled scallops, and a side of deep fried clam strips… Mmmmm

Dang it now i’m hungry!:roflpicard:

my personal favorite is Fuji.

Ive been to Fuji, sea-bar, wasabi (both locations), and kyoto.

was not impressed at sea-bar, but I would probably give it another chance.

Kyoto was sub par.

I ate there a month ago. It was good, but I don’t even remember what I had. :tif:

What about that bar on the skank-less side of Chippewa? I forgot the name, but it was decent. I haven’t been there in a couple of years though. Plum-something, or something.

Shango looks promising! Thank you guys, I’m gonna check out the site later http://www.shangobistro.com/
