That’s it.
That S5 is sexy
R8 hitting about 200mph.

That car rocks. But this car REALLY rocks. Bugatti is an Audi-owned subsidiary.

Black or dark metalic gray with a carbon fiber strip is the best IMHO.
i really considered an s5 instead of the 135… couldn’t do it… too much $$ not enough power. totally baller cars though…
The S5’s are sweet ass. When my brother went car chopping this was on his short list. He decided on the AMG C63. now that is a sweet car as well. When i was in Germany and Switzerland a few months ago, i saw about 8 Audi R8’s they take much more pride in their vehicles over there.
The A5/S5 is pretty hot. The Cab version looks amazing.

I’ve been lucky enough to be on the track (Daytona and Mid-Ohio) with an R8. It’s quite fun seeing them in that environment.
Bugatti is an Audi-owned subsidiary.
VW owned.
It’s all Porsche owned anyway
Indeed. Gordon Gekko style.
Yeah, somewhere out there is a table/graph showing each automaker in the world and how it connects to others, and which is owned by who… it’s very interesting, because when you boil it down, there really are only 3-4 major auto manufacturers; the rest are owned in whole or part by these big players.
People are alwyas surprised when someone mentions that Bugatti and Lamborghini are actually German-owned.
Im not sure if this is it or not. 3rd chart down?
How come they don’t have Mazda under Ford on that chart? The way everyone talks, they made it sound like Mazda is owned by Ford? Is for just the majority shareholder I guess since they don’t have them classified under the parent company of Ford on that chart?
Sort of, in theory. But there are a few on the chart you linked to that actually have ties to each other that that chart doesn’t show. It makes it too cut and dry and in reality that isn’t how it is.
But the one I’ve seen was patterned like a family tree or pyramid. With the world’s big few at the top and branches off of them from there with lines connecting them to who they own or how they are affiliated. Some of the lesser have ties to each other and they have lines connecting them and explaining as well.
When you see it in this form, you really realize how a few control many, even if it isn’t seen on the surface (i.e.- It’s not as simple as “This company owns part or all of this one”).
I did notice some things wrong in that chart. I would love to see what you are talking about though. It would be really neat to see.
It is cool. I’m trying to find it but can’t remember where I saw it. What is cool is that it’s almost like the six degrees of separatrion thing. All of the car makers have lines drawn that ultimately connect them all to each other somehow.
is this it? I am more confused after looking at the map

I’m pretty sure that’s it, although the layout I saw of it was a little cleaner and easier to understand. But the lines between each seem to be exactly what I was talking about. Good find.
what happened to the R9?
It never was… so to speak. The purpose of this car (R8 road car) is/was to celebrate Audi’s success in motorsports with the R8 race car. Especially at Le Mans. As matter of fact the concept was originally called “Le Mans”. See below. During development of the road car one of the names being tossed around was R9. Audi of course went with R8.
