Setting the idle

Just jumper the A and B pins on the ALDL connector with the key on to run the IAC all the way in. Give it 30 seconds. Then remove jumper and start the engine. The ECM should find its own idle.

i tried it, i warmed it, pulled the fuse, put it back in, jumpered the ALDL, let it run, and removed it, and it still had a choppy idle.

its alright, i have a brand new IAC in the box.
