im also looking to get into it this year
right now im kinda forced to get new springs since previous owner chopped the current ones
should i go with a set of ground control? i already have kyb shocks
ive also got a strut tower bar in, and i will have good tires by then
Ground Control FTW…i just got mine
werd, i need to finish up the turbo kit and start saving
im not really lookin to win any classes, i mean it would be cool but it would not turn me away if i came in last lol as long as i had fun
I get beat by everyone every time out and i stil have fun. The wny region is a bunch of fun drivers. Doing rally-x in flr is lame though. Its a great set up and the owner is as nice as can be but it takes forever to getanything rolling there.

It’s basically been said already.
-Good condition as far as maintenance and suspension parts
-Good tires
-Seat time
Start here. Proceed with mods as skill and comfort increase
Welcome to Street Mod, or as I like to call it, FWD Hell. Hatches only, please.

Like most of the good advice given in this thread, I agree with alignment, tire, and tire pressure for starters.
hatch for sure.
i would def rather start out in a stock class. but i have fun wrenching away at my car so i definitely land myself in that category.
it will probably be mostly gutted and hopefully on azenis with the suspension upgrades.
