sexytime is done

And your point is?

And it would cost more to fix the car than it would be worth all done.

agreed, fixing frame damage is never fun…parting it out at 10,500 would have been a pain in the ass too, i’ll take a hit of 3 grand to get a lump in my bank account lol

sometimes salvage values are high.

I just know that from working at a place where we fixed salvaged cars to sell.

frame damage isnt a big deal if you had a frame machine like we did where I used to work.

My friend bought a Mustang that was blasted hard in the front and had to pull it and replace parts of the rails. The car looked pretty bad but he fixed it up and it was fine, totally straight and true and looked great when finished.

Buy a wrangler 4 door, but 33’s on it, enjoy

Well since you’re the expert what should a $30,000 crashed car with front end damage cost as salvage where the motor alone will sell for thousands of dollars in a minute?

Different insurance companies set up different reserves on the auction so its hard to tell whats the lowest it could sell for. If it doesnt meet that reserve it will be relisted the following week.

Sometimes the reserve is set too high even on a wrecked shitbox and it wont sell.

I could see this car selling for $12-15k or more. Its still the current body style, probably low mileage like most Corvettes and the motor, transmission, rearend, interior, glass, etc is all good and Corvette parts dont go cheap.

The motor alone is probably worth $6k. I know a junkyard motor for my truck is $4k and its just a regular high production pickup truck, not a high performance sports car.
