I’ve had it three weeks as of tomorrow, and it’s already at 2300 miles.
Quick rundown:
2006 Scion xA
Polar White
5-speed
I’ve already removed the “xA” badge on the hatch and put in a K&N air filter. I’ve also installed my Sirius Stiletto100. I’m looking at wheels, springs, and shocks. I’m pretty sure I’m going to go with Eibach Pro-Kit springs and some sort of Tokico shocks, but I haven’t decided on wheels. I’ve changed my mind a thousand times, deciding on everything from Rota AutoXs to Enkei GF1s. Below are the Rotas.
Bought a spare engine with 35k miles on it for $200. I figure it can sit in the basement until I need it.
I keep going back and forth on doing anything to this car, as it is my source of income, so I think I’m just going to order some Eibach Sportlines and go from there.
The motor will probably sit in my basement for a few years, but I couldn’t pass it up at that price. The current motor still runs like new. I imagine a 100hp Toyota engine, maintained correctly, will go 200000+ miles.
did you trade in ur brain for a wife…come on mike wake up outta this love coma. i happy for ya bro but u gotta get ur head outta ur ass on this car stuff. an opel? seriously… talk about impractical to get parts, worked on…etc…
The next time I need a car I will not be in the States… Dont worry Bee ohh Beee I’ll still enjoy my cars but itll just be a different market to choose from.
They got some mean diesels over there with some good torque in older models. So i know ill find something fun. and this time itll have to be a stick shift !
But for our future this is a better option I’m already working on connections to get a better job when its time to move and im starting to plan now so itll be an easy transition.
