Hey this entry never is right with what i actually have going on so what i am going to do is just post pics of whtever i do and when its done then its done! i have ditched the gt28-rs and am moving up to a gt3071R and am going to stroke it out to 2.0 i am looking for something in the range of 400hp so we shall see when i get it done :slight_smile:

here are a few update pics, took out the dash to replace with better one and to wire in my guages a bit cleaner, took out all my A/C and emmisions crap to save some weight.

i would clean up the engine but it is about -10 so any thing i spray on it freezes :S DAMN UNHEATED SHOP!!!

aight guys i have got my new 30mm wide fenders on and just let me say it was a BITCH to get them fitted good! i will show u a before pic and an after pic of the gap that there was! but after 8 hours of mixing ressin and bondo glass i think i got them good :slight_smile:

aight guys, bodywork has been put on a bit of a hold as cuz i have a few other projects to take care of! but i did manage to get my hands on a few more necesarry parts like a Revolver rollcage (ment for a non sunroof silvia) and Battle version suspension links!

now what i am doing about sunroof is removing the sunroof assembly and then just making brakets and stuff to hold in the window so that i have just a window uptop! i will get pics once i get this all finished! it will be a little while before everything comes together BUT dont worry it will be all done soon enough :slight_smile:

Rollcage semi mounted and not fully assembled, i will also be adding a few more bars to complete the cage the way i want it :slight_smile:

There was one like that in St Albert for a while… same wheels as the ones on the rear and the same colour. Nice car though.

HAHAHA! yes the advans give superior traction in the snow :wink: i took it for a test drive after i replaced turbo and oil and such and i got stuck 3 times, thank god i had my pit crew with me hahaha!

i am going to keep the ca in for as long as possible, i will build the sr20 on the side and work on the ca as well, the car had a bad turbo seal and it sent oil all through the intercooler, intake, injectors so i need to rip off the intake today, i swapped turbos yesterday and it runs fine now just need to clean up the injectors and intace so the car isn’t runnin on 1/2 oil and half gas :wink: the car was tuned in japan and it runs REAL lean overhere so i need to retune it! i will get the s15 turbo rebuilt then retune the A/F and i should be good for another 300hp pull on the dyno! hopefully :slight_smile:

oh and also this was not an IC buy it was me looking for a car on the auction lists (yahoo japan, ASNET auctions) and then lon hall doing the shipping work over in japan and me doing the rest! hahaha honestly i was not expecting all this shit! i just needed a shell to put the sr in but a 300hp ca18 will do just fine :slight_smile: i am way to happy right now

Working on your own car is always more rewarding and you can always learn something at the same time …but nobody wants to get in over there head …

yeah it is cheaper in the long run cuz you don’t have people making money off of you and so on! clearing a car is very simple when u have all ur paperwork and a import/export license, u can get them for free at the government building! just go there and ask for an import export number and fill out the forum and they will hook u up right then and there then u need a ups account and then u should be set!

but yes in the long run it was cheaper and a good learning expierence!
