anyways, he trapped almost 126. and the 11.6 run was a 1.9 60’, if he had cut a 1.7 like he had been it woulda been solid 11.2’s
True, also i thought Brooks was driving the car on that run? When I ran 11.8 at 124, i had a 1.98 60ft with 24.5 inch slicks. I have the timeslip. It Should have been a mid-to low 11 sec pass but the two step was set at 5k so it bogged everysingle time. Im just trying to make sense of this seeing as how the boost wasnt dropping off from what i hear
i duno, he thought his timing might have been off. havent heard from him since.
I need to mess with my Electronic boost controller (AVCR). The boost comes on slow and doesn’t make 21-22psi until 8K+ it slowly builds. I have to turn up the duty cycle in the lower RPM’s so it comes on quicker and hits max boost at lower RPM’s. Brooks had the same problem with his last year and ran the same exact time as mine with the same trap speed with his car before switching to a manual boost controller and running the 10.6@131. Also my timing may be off because I switched dizzy’s after the dyno and had trouble getting it to hit 16 BTDC. I’m going to mess with it when the rain stops and see how it does.
The other messed up thing is I cut two 1.760fts and ran 11.8 and the run when brooks drove the car he cut a 1.960ft and ran 11.6
