Yea you usually loose some low end torque and gain hp in high rpms with the longtubes. Get a bigger converter :nod
i have a 3800 stall sitting at my house, i just dont feel like doing the work my self, might save up some money and have someone else do it
Its easy mang
you need that converter to rip some serious 60 footers…trust me…it will be the best mod yet!
you really think you lost low end power with the headers?? Even on my 7 cylinders it felt like I gained everywhere.
Also, I can be added for now until I get the car back with the new motor to make some clean passes

it is easy, but my driveway sucks, ive done it in my driveway before to my ole lt1 and it just sucked, thats why i would rather have it done somewhere
I know i need a vert, bad, its not that a lost a lot down low, just not enough to get the car moving off the line.
it moved out off the line pretty good to me?
We your a fwd fuck lol, but seriously, when i did my converter i went from 12.6 to 11.82. Your gonna need some good tire after that though, M/T ET Radial ;D
All i know is that it should be a lot better, As i stand right now i could probably get a 12.8 or 12.7, i just need to get that 60 foot time down, which i really dont see happening without the converter
Agreed, converter is key!
and those gears! Those gears blow.
there good for good mpgs!
thats about it lol…their good if you wanna keep a stock 10 bolt too
exactly, and i dont have 2500 bucks to spend on a 9in, 12 bolt, or dana 60 so i guess im keeping those gears
:headbang :headbang :headbang
hey paul how bout a big rear end from a peterbilt… i don’t how many bolts but it’ll last forevarrRR
im not really sure on how that would work out
youd take full advantage of the LOW END TORQUE
Is there even a rear end or tranny that can handle the torque of a LS1?
top fuel dragster i think
That makes sense. :tong
