should BIG BEN

He should, but in the end it’s his choice.

I didn’t wear my seatbelt ever, until I was in an accident and smashed the rear-view mirror with my head… then a few months later I wasn’t wearing one (just forgot) and got rear-ended, and hit my head off of something (A-post or steering wheel maybe) and now I don’t EVER go without it.

Point of story?

He’ll learn the hard-way that it’s good to wear it… hopefully he won’t be seriously injured before he learns.

well if you want to think like that then he shouldnt drive acar. he can be killed on in a car. or how about walking down the street. some jealous fool could shoot him. nothing wrong with riding a bike.

people like you are the reason I support repealing helmet laws. Let nature take its course.

i think he meant more like the odds are greater in case of a minor accident. a fender bender with a car on car isn’t likely of serious injury where as a bike vs a car could result in something serious even at a low speed. same thing if a car and bike hit a pot hole.

really stfu!!!ppl like you have no room to talk

thanks cutty…thats what i meant!!! :bigok:

My IQ isnt a single digit number, so by default I have more room to talk than yourself.

actually for all of you who say “he should be allowed to do what he wants”

Are 110% INCORRECT. As a contracted player in the NFL with an up front signing bonus, he must refrain from all potentially dangerous leisure activities, which could result in him being injured or killed. I actually looked into this before, and it includes motorcycle riding without proper safety equipment, parasailing, bunji jumping, and a plethora of other activities.

It is a clause in his contract. If he is injured, to a point where it will affect his performance, he must pay back a pro rated amount of his up front signing bonus to the team. As well as risk losing his complete contract.

you sir are correct.

I personally feel that he should be treated no different than any other person out there… Its legal in PA to not wear a helmet, then he shouldnt have to wear one, and he should get to ride his bike. Is it stupid? Yes Does he have a chance of getting hurt? Yes. But, when push comes to shove, its his life. He should be allowed to do what he wants to do, no matter what. I dont see Microsoft telling Bill Gates he can’t ride around on his moped without a helmet becuase he’s worth too much to the company (bad example, but you get the idea)

what about porn stars, do they have to have breast plates and vagina gaurds when riding also:kekegay:

Bill Gates is not paid upon his physical conditions.

He’s paid upon his mental condition, and if he’s riding around without a helmet and slams his head, uh oh, bye bye billy.

Like it matters. he isnt the ONLY one who knows whats going on in that company. i bet he hasnt written 1 line of code in 5 years

:ugh:

No one is MAKING him wear a helmet. No one held a gun to his head when he signed his contract. He could have easily chosen to not play professional football and not be paid millions of dollars, not have a supermodel girlfriend, and not be worshipped like a god. I dont think that having to wear a helmet (which any fucktard with half a brain would do anyways) is that bad of a trade off.

like i said, bad example…

I know i know, he could have chosen a different life… But just because he’s a star, why should he be treated any different? I agree that he should wear a helmet because its smart, but I just think he should be allowed to do whatever the hell he wants as long as its within the parameters of the law… Thats all…

I really dont give a flying fuck whether what he does, he’s just a football player, not a god

Ok, when you sign a football contract, they give you a sizeable signing bonus. This is an investment in the player. If Ben were to wreck his bike, fuck himself up and not be able to play football again, then the Steelers are out millions of dollars, not to mention the fact that they are building the whole team around him and if he were to get hurt doing something stupid then it would be a crushing blow to the team. I can remember back in the day Jeremy McGrath got in heaps of trouble with Honda for riding jet ski’s during the offseason. Thats just the way it is in professional sports. They have to adjust their lifestyle a small amount to have the privelage of playing a game they love for a living and getting paid millions of dollars to do it.

youre so full of yourself. go do something productive then talk to me

productive? like building a recreation department from scratch for a 14 acre 230+ room resort in one of the top vacation destinations on the east coast? is that productive enough for ya? Or is barely keeping a shitpile 5.0 mustang on the highway your sole definition of productive?

nice to see youre concerned about a car of mine. know some facts then talk about my shit.
