Did some work today.
Draining the fuel so I can drop the tank
WTF is my deal, these always take me forever to get apart
Parts going to be powdercoated

BSR Update!
Got the exhaust dropped, removed the fuel tank and started disassembling the rear suspension. Also started undercoating the front wheel wells, coming out really nice. I will try getting some pix this weekend
I have some more cleaning to do, should start applying the undercoating this weekend
eveything looks great bud
i wish i had a place to do this with my car
that barstoolthing is badass lol
Thanks deebo! I bought a dirt bike front brake set up off a buddy but the disc is about the same O.D. as the rear tire. Im going to have to come up with a different disc, This one has to many holes to machine it smaller.
Also need to make some brackets for the gas tank, the stock location interfered with the middle stool bar.
As far as Shrek-
Parts are out getting sandblasted, Going to start undercoating this weekend and start rebuilding the rear brake swap I picked up.
Mock up
The old set up, thinking about redoing the lower suport
its bent
Nice Updates
Started braking down the rear disc swap I got. I only broke one bolt that holds the e-brake cable on. I’ll have to drill it out. Next I want to take the spindles off the arms but Honda used a torques socket bolt down in a hole and I haven’t had much luck getting them lose yet, I have been spraying penetrating oil on them, might need to use some heat to get them out.
Started installing the pedals, I always think I will remember where all the nuts and bolts go haha.
HAHA, its best to put everything into zipper bags and write on them with a sharpie, that makes life marginally easier.
Keep up the good work!
Got the seats in just to get them off the floor. Not sure if I will use the bar or the old seat belt holes from the backseat to attach the harness to.
A better pic of how I am tucking the rear brake lines
I had the clutch pedal in the car and when the S2K reservoir went in it didn’t work together. I pulled it all out to see what was going on. Well the neck on the S2K reservoir is longer then the Civic version. I read on Honda-tech to just swap out push rods but they are both the same length. Solution is to just not use the locking nut and thread the bracket all the way down. Im also going to grind some of the threads off for a little more clearance.
whoa, why not racing seats?
I have my eye on a set of Kirkeys
Hey guy if you ever need help let me know… I may have a tank for the “cart”
Who do you use for powder coating?
Do you need to do anything to prep the Cailpers and Brackets? What about the relief valve, sliders, Piston seals, etc…do they mask them off for you?
There’s a place in Cuba NY called Genesse plating. I bought the rebuild kits for the calipers. They said they can tape off areas that I don’t want coated. Didn’t think much about the relief. Im hoping they know what they are doing. I had the parts sandblasted but they told me they could have the parts sent out for sandblasting its just cheaper to do it before hand.
What a great build man! Good quality! I’m in the same boat with building up my RHD EG now
As I thought I had to heat the spindles up to get those bolts out. After that I cleaned them up and chased the threads. I primed and painted the spindles and picked up some new Hex head bolts. Also cleaned up the bolts for the front suspension.
I may not get as much powder coated as I wanted. The sandblaster took longer then agreed and Im leaving town for most of November. I need to get the car back on the ground so my buddy can at least roll it out of the way if he needs. I am getting the front and rear calipers coated no matter what. Waiting for new E-brake cables to arrive along with a bunch of other parts so I can get the exhaust mounted back up
I am curious to see how this turns out for you. I am weighing my options for my build. Let me know how the experience is for you if you don’t mind.
Nice progress…
Are those spherical trailing arm bushings? Great build, wish I had the space, tools and patience to do all this when I had my car apart.
