welcome to 1999 lol

nice nice so whats the plan??

lol put it on a go-cart.

sort of vague…

goddamn it, more Hondas :fail:

lol, Good luck, the more more builds the merrier

Can you please detail the process of how you got it on the stand?

is this going to go in to DD?

Ha I’m to poor to keep up, but at least I’m staying out of trouble

Yes, the plan. Well you all know Project Shrek had some beginner luck. So while building and rebuilding I have accumulated a bunch of extra parts along with this block. The plan is to build my first engine. Shreks engine was built by a engine builder so the opportunity to learn wasn’t there. I figure this would be a good starter and a good time to build a stock, to spec, Honda motor. Im going to also try doing this for as cheap as possible with out cutting to many corners.

I am!

I was building the suspense

That’s how I feel.

Well the valve cover is just sitting on the head and the head is just sitting on the block. It was probably pretty funny if you would have seen me balancing the block on my leg while trying to thread the bolts in to the stand

Its going in my DD go-cart! I’m going to start the shell once the engine is just about built.

Here’s a ITR intake manifold next to the stock b16. I picked this up last summer along with a turbo manifold for 150. I sold the turbo manifold already for the same price. I thought I would use the ITR TB for shrek. Might send it out to Maxbore first!

its going in the ef right? or are you really making a go-cart/ef

I dont know what you are talking about…:snky:

I don’t want to spill the beans on the shell yet. I want to build a real simple and clean DD. Most of the parts going into this are used so its only going to be so nice. I plan on doing a lot of cleaning and scrubbing and some painting. Once the engine is mostly together Im going to build a new harness. I have just about all the major parts to put this together. Anything that’s not up to pare I will buy new like gaskets and hardware.

lol

i will probaby have a bunch of stuff left over if you want to trade…

did u say u have a type r tb?

edit: nvm just saw that u were putting it on the shrek car lol

Thanks! Time is against us all

Well we can talk, I have a 65mm on Shrek now.

you do realize you will lose a decent amount of compression with the gsr pistons?

b16 efs are fun lil cars and can get great gas mileage too depending on the trans

is this a usdm b16?

very nice… looks like you have gotten some good deals so far.

I was told that, What can I do to compensate?
I know I could get a thinner gasket but I have a new one already. ( Will a GSR head gasket work on a b16? ) Is the cost of getting the head shaved worth it?

No idea… think its a b16a?
