The fuel shouldn’t affect the power at all, since it’s staying as gasoline, so I would say you should make more power, as long as they can keep your timing up without knocking. My guess is 330/330!

91 is all they have out here… sux.
Going to get a set of ID1000’s!.. What needs to be done to run these? Resistor bypass?
get the fic injectors so they are plug and play, maperformance sells em for 440 shipped
or if you want to wire them in
personally im going with the dw300 and fic 1100’s with the spoolin up bypass
That link doesn’t say how to wire them in? Got a good deal on the ID’s, Hopefully I can get the Spoolin up bypass over nighted.
mellon tuning also sells the resister bypass as well, i myself have the spoolin up bypass.
i couldnt get myself to cut up a perfectly good harness lol
I have a resistor pack being overnighted from Japan, I mean Spoolinup!
very easy to wire in, or you can get plug and play clips… did you buy the id’s new or did you buy them used? if new where at? im looking to buy some and get em as cheap as possible
I am picking them up from the place I am getting tuned… Modified by KC in Kansas city… cheapest I have seen them is 460… everyone seems to be asking 500.
talk to emery
It was a last minute thing…done deal. I have a few parts coming from STM!
yea i know, i was just saying for the other guy haha.
just throw a 3586 on that car and have some fun. no big turbo love!
ya idk, map performance has some pretty good prices and last time emery and I talked wasn’t exactly kosher
You are right… Em did tell me he would match prices on some things, so wont hurt asking.
This was what I got from MAP for a set of FIC’s
MAP is the shit
Well I didn’t have any luck getting into the ECU to turn off the FPR solenoid. Car acutely didn’t even start while it was removed so I had to install it. I just don’t seem to understand how it all works. I read just about all the threads on EvoM, I was trying to convert to V7… I guess I will just have my tuner do it, and hopefully he doesn’t mind me looking over his shoulder and asking questions. I’m going to figure this out, it frustrates to me that I cant get things to work how they should… I’m probably overlooking something small.
Then this little guy…
What they dont tell you…After install, car wont start… even in its lowest setting the clutch doesn’t make it to the starter switch? I didn’t spend much time looking into this yet.
Found some weight not being used!
New ID1000cc injectors out of the box, SpoolinUp resistor bypass.
Assembled
Unplugged the stock injector resistor pack and installed the Spoolinup bypass plug
Brought my 12mm and installed the big guns while Chad was finishing up tuning another Evo.
Here is one short pull on E85!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=tOM4uPCC_pY
Car made 352whp on 91oct at 23lbs and 384whp on E85 at 23lbs.
Kept things at this level for the stock clutch sake. I am extremely happy. Car feels strong and is a blast to drive. Thanks goes out to Chad and the guys at Modified by KC.
We were all a little surprised that the car made that much power with that low of boost. I have to believe that all the small mods added up and made this engine real efficient. Ported manifolds, 65mm TB, Spoolin Up COP kit, Blocked off all the EGR…ect.
Here is an E85 Graph
and the same graph with the pump map overlaid
My goal was 350 on 91 and 400 on E85 at what ever boost we needed/ or until the BOV couldn’t hold anymore. I didn’t expect we would only turn the boost up 1 pound! That means there is plenty left in her. Once I get a new clutch and a electric boost controller I will be heading back. For now I couldn’t be happier.
Needs springs or coilovers!!!
nice job so far
Happy birthday to me
well that was quick lol
