so my new h/u is sirius ready, now i am gonna get the service. But what are my options. Do i have to sign a contract, is it month by month, can i pre pay?
and do i just go to circuit city and be like yo i want sirius?

you need a tuner box that will plug into the back of your radio. then you call sirius with the “id number” that will be on that tuner, and they will send signal down it. you can pay monthly/yearly or a lifetime subscription. i beleive if you sign up yearly they give you a month for free

the tuner box and all the other good stuff u need is gonna run u about $100. im not sure about waht the other car electronics places are selling, but the stuff we have at Stereo Advantage plugs right in and you can be up and running in about a half hour. you can pay either once a month, once every 3 months, once ever 6 months, and ocne a year. i would encourage you to ‘try it out’ for a month, but after that i would pay yearly. its $12.95 a month, but the longer u pay in advance, the mre u save…i think if u pay by the year, it wokrs out to be like $10 and change a month.
hmm yeah i just kinda want to be set up and running in one shot so maybe ill do stereo advantage

yah, addicted and mikes98rt are right, 100 clams and it will directlink to your radio. I have mine fed that way trought my alpine and love it. Definatly try it first for the month. Once it is installed, you just have to call Sirius and activate it, take no time at all.

Cooley, I pay moneth by month. i got the S50 for christmas so my dad took my old reciever paid for it for a month, and then bought me 4 months on the new one for christmas…so no you dont have to buy a certain amount of months…its $5 cheaper to activate online then on the phone

you can do month by month for 12.95. 6 months gives you no benefit so don’t bother. 1 year gets you one month free so it’s 12.95 X 11. and two years gets you 3 months free, so 12.95 X 21. Also the lifetime for 499 I’m very leary about because it states for the lifetime of your reciever. So if your reciever dies I’m under the impression ur fucked.
nope if the reciver dies your all good for getting a new one. but the offer of lifetime ends 2 the end of this month for good.
