Not who you’re thinking. You would want.
In for vids of you attempting tricks.
My friend and I have been doing this for a little over a year now. Its set up at his house so he is pretty good and I can barely walk it anymore.
Did this last night in bidwell. There were SOOOO many people. It was insane. There were 4 different lines set up and a couple pretty hot girls doing it as well.
I’m getting pretty good at this. I can easily walk the line, both fwd and backwards and do a variety of starts, including bounce and jump starts. Last night I was working on jumping while on the line, then graduated to jumping and spinning.
Well, today at the Derrick Corp company picnic, there was a “low ropes” course set up. One of the things was a 40 ft steel cable, stretched super tight. I walked it a few times, then tried executing some tricks… Well, steel cable is not a good medium for this for a few reasons. It’s round, and therefore can roll off your foot. It’s hard. It’s very thin and requires shoes… Well, attempting a mid-line 360 jump, I slipped. Bad… Fucking thing caught me right in the neck… It doesn’t hurt as much as it looks like it would, but I feel stupid walking around with this monster bruise on my neck.
It didn’t stop me from continuing to walk the line for another few hours, though…
Just tell people it’s a hickey and some babe was alllllll over you at the picnic
What ever takes attention away from your haircut.
used to do this in texas between a truck and tree or between too good sized trucks with tubular webbing on their hitches, pull taunt and go nuts. i never got really good at it, but it’s a core workout for sure.
is it not cool to put a matt down underneath it to cushion falls?
Did i just reveal how shrivelled up my balls are now?
Second vid is fake, the shadows are all wrong, something isnt right.
I’m pretty sure it’s legit…
When do you guys usually setup at bidwell? I have to come and check this out sometime.
hahaha , newman i was wondering why your neck was all red at the picnic haha your one crazy ass dude…( alot of jail bait was at the picnic too) lol
I was at Bidwell last night from 5:30 to 11:30… I am pretty sore today…
I can walk forward and backward across the line without much issue, and can also do jump starts, bounce starts, 180 jump starts, 180 bounce starts as well as catch air and do some spins… no flips yet, but I feel they’re coming… does anyone have any crash pads?
If anyone wants to try this I still do it pretty regularly…
This day there were like 15 people doing it on 4 different lines.
I would like to come watch people actually accomplish this. Bidwell is right down the street so everytime I walk by, people I see can barley stand on it.
99% of the time I can walk across and back without falling off.
Backwards I can get across about 75% of the time.
Usually we’re not just walking it, though. If we’re falling off it’s probably because we’re trying to do some trick. I spent as much time falling off it as I did walking it on Sunday. I was trying to learn to walk to the middle, lay down, then stand back up.
By the end of the day I could do it with a fairly good success rate.
hmm.
I am entertained every week watching them from the McGarrets patio. Two for 1 draft beers and watching people fall on wires is quite an evening.
Nobody ever falls. They usually just jump off.
Mcgarrets is always full of douchebags. Makes sense.
