bonny owns a neon with incorrect timing 
i rode along with jeff for one run, and yeah its definately lacking in power… it should pull all the way to the limit… but i could feel it straining past 5500.
i feel bad because i wouldnt have told jeff to go if i remembered his timing was off 
sorry i didnt really get more pics (not sure how many jeff posted up total over here) … i was running out of room on the memory card so i had to be picky on what to take pics of.
yeah, jeff definately needs to work on that launch. he likes to dump the clutch just a little too much, and when it hooks, it bogs him down pretty good. either hes gotta up the rpm, or learn to feather the clutch and throttle better. im sure he’ll get more practice this year tho… once he fixes that timing issue.
bogging 1st is always a sign of too much throttle and not enough clutch,
50/50 is always a sure thing in my rustang. then again TQ in the slow five Oh is different.

a neon has like 8 lb.ft.,just rev to 6000 and drop the clutch. If you were dealing with a powerful car, like a 5.0, it takes a little practice, but we’re dealing with a neon here. :D:D:D

hold up this is how to make that pos faster. put those harnesses from the shelby in there. make sure to add all the decals you got on there.
actually all the mods you did to the car probably are hurting it. remove them then run stock

im going to be fixing my timing then im going to throw on the underdrive pulley, Port and polished intake manifold, 60mm throttle body, and a few other little goodies. then see how i will do
why not run the car stock. its obvious you cant handle the neon now
