Just thought i’d share a link here and there about wicked smart dudes sayin’ wicked stuff.
i dont like the politics of a lot of smart dudes but i cannot deny how excited i am hearing them say smart stuff.
Alex Carp, CEO of Palantir, has been speaking a lot more lately and he’s really good. loving Palantir’s story too:
The way Peter Thiel is allowing (maybe evenencouraging) his generals to be on the speaking circuit and wihtout a leash, including the ability to talk about how they dont have a leash on them and dont want one, is noteworthy.
I havent even got through this in its entirety and i’ll probably go through it 10+ times but near the 1 hour mark he basically tells you who Satoshi is.
i’ve had this chat a number of times with folks that if they keep printing money, all that money has to go somewhere and it gets stored up in asset prices (homes and equities primarily).
Here is a piece that shows the actual data and relationship between the money supply and equity markets 2 years later.
so whats interesting about htis one is that its a bit older and its an interview with this Peter Zeihan dude with some people from ARK. Cathy Wood’s fund.
Peter disagrees and corrects the ARK dude throughout. It’s actually awkward a few times but looks good on them. ARK is very weak here.
i really cannot get enough of this podcast. it might be the best one out there these days.
i based that on the resumes and the on-going work some of the podcasters are actively engaged in currently. their insight is remarkable and they tend not to pull punches. or at least they lean in to difficult subject matter and offer what appear to be insightful, authentic and experienced opinions.
