the 4th gen maxima guys with vq35 swaps have them too

well from what ive pulled up on google, its a VERY SIMILAR motor in a bunch of nissan’s cars

well, the vq35 is in the 350Z, but in a RWD config, OBV. Im sure it would be possible to RWD the sentra… so you aren’t totally out to lunch…
but after RWD a sentra ur better off buying a 350z…anyway pimp motor…speaking og motor…Newman i found somewhere where i can put that maxima motor u have so i will call u soon
that’s a seriously hott motor swap. i’ll be interested to see what kind of numbers it ends up running…
if he can get it to hook it will be kwik…but if not which i doubt if will be better off on zee highway…i bet its easier to swap in a sentra than a 4th gen maxima…fucking ECU crap…there are only like 2 guys with 4th gens runn 100% CVT…the rest are not which makes no sense…i try telling them they are better off trying to get the vq35 ecu to work with the accessories and what not in the 4th gen than it is to get a 4th gen (vq30) non CVT to work with teh vq35…sorry for the ramble had to let gooooooo
update: car went to the track, IIRC-the best time it pulled was a 2.0 60, 13.9 at 105
chirping into 4th gear
the engine is stock except for a fabricated cold air intake and cat back exhaust

edit- i just double checked, it didnt go 13.9, it went 12.9 in the 1/4

BTW, for those who don’t know, Nissan uses the VQ35 in the Maxima, 350Z, Altima, Quest, and the Murano…
