Thats why you ride the brake and spool first.I made that mistake against choko a few years ago,by the time i spooled up he was gone.
I don’t need to brake boost. An instant 900ft/lb on the street is not real manageable. I’m not driving a honda or dsm… I’ve pulled hard on plenty of cars like his. Great out of the hole but not much up top. When I roll I’m averaging about 80% throttle until top of 3rd and top of 4th. I only held out 4th two times last year because it was insane. Truly scary and the races were over by then anyway
I wasnt saying spool it to max boost,just enough to get the boost started.Traction on either persons car is limited on the street.
i know whatcha mean. but like i said…i have more than enough engine to get the car rollin where people won’t get a jump on me due to a lack of power. the conditions have to be exceptional for the car to dead hook with any amount brake boost. when it does, though, :jawdrop:

Attitude aside, you have to give him props though. His car is never down and out. It is out year after year after year, and it’s one of the fastest around. He doesn’t give 2-shits about any “ladder”, or nyspeed, or roll racing. You want to run him? Head to the track, he’ll be there. He doesn’t do the bench racing thing.
Not only that, but Prior drives / cruises it quite a bit to boot.

This whole OMG he races anyone thing…lots of people race and have fast cars around here they just don’t hang out on this forum…you go to other places…Flordia…Texas…people with fast cars post and race…its just how the scene ended up around here.

there’s no doubt he’s fast and he’s got the car hooked up… i never took away from that. (he gave me probs and wasn’t being a complete dick) but i just found it funny that after he got done telling me how his car would pull mine, i actually called him out to go get his car to his face (in a friendly yet firm way)… and then he just walked away… ok? pat and chuck basil were there, they’ll attest to this… i’m not worried about this at all, just explaining what happened…
