I’m not sure why people think North Korea didn’t have the capability…Just because the US doesn’t give them tech its not like other countries don’t.

The other part of this is compare computer technology from when the US/Russia were trying to make ICBMs vs now.

He appeared to be referring to the KN-08, provided to North Korea by a Russian company and based on the design of a Russian submarine-launched nuclear missile.

This whole thing is really puzzling. It seems like Un is trying to take this beyond the usual make-noise-until-someone-gives-me-attention thing. What’s his end game? Is it really just a nut sack kid thinking he’s invincible, or is someone trying to draw the US into another military engagement? Is Iran trying to weaken us so they can finally bomb Israel? If we have to spend our way through another decade long bomb/rebuild cambaign and our dollar goes to shit China won’t want the Yen to become the official currency of oil. It’d make it harder to manipulate. Does Putin want the Ruble to replace the USD as the official currency of OPEC? Hrm…

+1 to Fry, I don’t see his end game. This has gone way beyond NK’s typical rhetoric. Add in the kid being an unknown and NK’s ever increasing capabilities and it’s not a good situation. When you don’t have nuclear missile capability and you talk about nuking Guam it’s a funny threat from a sad little man. When you have the capability, then move 2 mobile missile launchers to the coast that are capable of striking Guam and continue making that threat it’s a lot different situation.
The entire reason they hate us is because of sanctions and us involved in their business.

It is possible to see the angle of removing the petrodollar and replacing it with the petroruble. Especially given Russian energy reserves. I think like all empires the US empire has slowly gone from being the arrogant cool kid on the block that everyone dreamed of being friends with to being the kid everyone is sick and tired of dealing with and is really just a douche. The rest of the kids are just figuring out a way to make a No America club.
As evidenced by the other articles I have referenced I do believe we are going to see North Korea do something stupid. Russia and China are the older kids who are going to pressure the young dumb kid who just wants to be one of the guys into doing something foolish. Let them take the fall for so long then step in and fight back when the time is right.
We have been souring an already rough friendship with Russia.
Russia and China have been openly touting more cooperation for economic and strategic protection. Both see eye to eye on non intervention in other countries internal affairs. Both share communist and autocratic views. They just need a patsy.
