I got my MR2 running just for the summer. It sat all last year…god I missed driving it.
This does suck hard…I also feel bad for Beast, Mos, Thill and co…I hung with Toner a few times and even had him to my place for a fierce Halo night. I always thought he was a cool guy. RIP to both

Figured i’d update this while waiting for my wife’s element to get serviced haha
So, after sourcing and buying k series parts for the better part of last year, it quickly became obvious that I was in over my head. I still had a dumb amount of money to spend If I wanted the car done. It had been sitting for almost 2 years, and I really really just wanted to drive the damn thing.
So one day my man big e mentioned that he was looking at picking up an ek hatch. I remembered that Steve (cw00ek) was selling a clean as f white hatch, so big e and I worked out a deal where we would buy the car together, i’d pull the swap for myself, he’d keep the shell and I’d sell him my k series stuff. Big e never ended up building that car, but let’s just say things worked out really well anyway.
So Steve dropped the car off, I made a bunch of pizza, bought some beers, Checko, Minglor, Haenszel, Gennaro, young Jeller, all came by and we started ripping the thing apart. Drew was nice enough to let me borrow his hoist (which I still have haha) by the end of the day we had the swap pulled and the white hatch was a legit roller.
I tried to get the white hatch to my storage garage and the blue car to my house that day but I’m a dumb fucking dick and forgot the key to the blue car… Made Draftinwitjr drive out for nothing… Felt like such an asshole. So I went home and got drunk and ate more pizza.
Anyway. Finally was able to swap cars. Pulled this dusty bitch out of storage.
Dr Haenszel came over and we plopped the motor in one day before I went to work. I just wanted the next weekend to be troubleshooting. He is seriously the man.
Then that weekend, everyone came back over again, I made a bunch more pizza, got a bunch more beers, drew came over with 5 gallons of 93 (totally unnecessary and refused to take my money!! Talk about a solid bro) and by the end of the day we had it running.
Then that week I spent a few hours dancing with the roll cage and an angle grinder. Had no desire for harnesses or a fixed back, it wasn’t the best cage, and I plan on putting an interior in the car over winter. Byyeeeeee
Then my brother and esford came over to do a few things. Mainly mess with the axles and replace a starter. Some wiring shit ect. Drink a bunch of beer and walk on train tracks. TWINSIES!!!
A few days ago I gifted my 92 passat wagon to a friend who has helped me out a bunch in the past, so I’m just daily driving the civic. It’s fun. Pulls hard. Rattle can with no interior though haha. I’ll take care of that over winter. Also this beautiful bitch… Another thing I own that has been sitting for way too long.
My landlord / bud / Minglors main squeeze joe cuz has been awesome through this whole thing. What landlord would let you do this in their driveway lol? Not many.
Drove it to work a few times like this. My boss was all like “what’s that crazy exhaust stuff coming off the front of your car?!?”
Plans for winter include putting an interior in the car, maybe a different turbo set up, we’ll see. All in all I’m just really, really happy to be finally driving it.
