i agree with toyato being reliable… BUT… suspension SUCKS… honestly … really loose and bounce… and the interior’s cheap in 90 percent compared to the z series chevy’s…
but… other then those to things toyota rocks…

im soo lost on what im doing…
i need a fullsize… and a v8… and i need to either trade it in! or sell it outright for 9500$ asap…
took a ton of picture’s tonight to list it on ebay… but who knows
The suspension might not be the absolute best but i have to disagree with you on the interior. IMHO chevy and ford have the shittiest interiors evar!
Nothing like hopping into a 50,000 dollar chevy and seeing the same buttons and knobs as the base model cavalier! (although toyota does that some with lexus aswell)
Maybe im just not GM interior fan but i think all the big knobs and buttons are so clumsy.
I have a cavalier and a Silverado and the controls are NOTHING alike. :dunno:
Problem is people make too many general statments about a single brand. Just because the lower end GMs have shitty interiors doesn’t mean the more expensive ones do too.
Thats like saying the Corvette comes with a aveo consule…
edit: i still heart gearhead (it he’s gay like taht)
u mean they dont come with the aveo console? I know the old vettes had the same shitty window buttons etc as the cheap chevys.
no the interiors are completely different and there isnt one common button or button style in either vehicles.
I think the Colorado is a pretty good buy for the money. It has some shortcomings, but it is also a lot cheaper than a comparable Tacoma or Frontier. I got mine for $20k + TTL back in December. You can probably do better with the GM Employee Discount for All in June.
whats the ttl…
i checked about the gm employee thing and they said they will give it to anyone pretty much… its susposed to be invoice price…
i checked out the titans and the f-150’s at the pittsburgh show and i def. gave the edge to nissan for interior design, just better than the f-150. but the chevy interiors have been roughly the same for the past 10 years it seems.
if anything get the titan, i dont think you’ll regret it doug.
chevy interiors aint been the same for 10 years!
i was being sarcastic on the years, but it seems like it has been a while that they have used the basic layout for all there trucks.
i dunno, i guess i am just a fan of the shifter being on the floor like a car in the new trucks…
true,is
My boyfriend’s brother had a brand new Colorado and traded it in for the Titan…Sweet truck :bigthumb:
I looked at the titan in person and wasn’t that impressed. Don’t get me wrong its a nice truck but its seems they have to use decietful information to try and compete. If you go and look at their site you can compare their titan to any other make and model. I bought up my LT 1500 Quad cab. Their site was telling me stuff like there wasn’t an option for a rear window with privacy tint on my truck there was no part time 4 wheel drive option (its called somthig different but from what I read its the same thing), meanwhile I have both those in my truck.
Its also claims clearance of 12 inches to 9 inches and that is only because of the tire size they select which can easily be changed.
It just seems that their site wasn’t very “correct”. As for sales men, well when I went out to the one in wilkins Twp to look, I wasn’t too impressed.
All in all if the site was correct the interiors dimension’s are about the same. Only a difference of about an inch in favor of chevy, the exterior demensions are in favor of chevy, and the MPG is in favor of Chevy.
I guess from seeing the two in person and reading, I guess it comes down to if you want rear passenger vanity mirrors and chrome mirror housings, you should get the titan :dunno:
Tax, title, and license plate. All of the extra fees that they tack on after you agree on a price. :jerkit:
If I were shopping for a new truck today, I would probably consider the Frontier and Tacoma more closely. I test drove the new Tacoma right before I bought my Colorado, but the salesman said that he wouldn’t come off the sticker price very much ($200-300 max). I probably saved several thousand $$'s buying the Colorado with all specs I wanted (4.10 rear end, power everything, rear locker, MP3 stereo, etc) vs. buying a similar Tacoma.
BTW, the new “midsize” trucks are getting huge. The Dakota and Tacoma are almost as big as old fullsize trucks (or at least it appears that way to me).
BTW, the stock General tires on the Colorado Z71 are not very good. I’ll probably get a set of good ATs when I can afford them.
