From what i’ve read(now take this with a grain of salt as i got this off wikipedia and I can’t even find where i read it awhile back) it takes a healthy person about five years of smoking a pack a day for smoking to cause irreparable damage to the heart and lungs, cancer however is entirely random and while smoking increases the risk of getting it, it in no way directly causes it. When you quit, the cilia in your lungs regrows after being killed off by the smoke and begins to clean out your lungs
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah fuck it, just threw all four packs in my lockbox so i can forget about them until I find someone to sell them to or something. I’m done, theres enough shit going on in my life right now so if I can do this, it’ll at least be one thing I can be happy about. I’m gonna hold onto the tin of Camel snus I got for free though as classes start next week and I know i’ll pick the coffin nails up again, at least this way i’ll be fighting the smoking habit, even if i’m giving in to the nicotine addiction, that’ll come shortly after…i hope…
time to go outside and say my farewells to this last, lonely, little lucky strike(the alliteration was entirely unintentional)
Quitting smoking = big
Good job Beck, best of luck keeping yourself smoke free.
Congrats! As long as its not the 5 year plan…
haha nice.
good luck to everyone quitting
so smoking more makes you cool? most days my pack lasts me almost two days, i hate smoking but if you smoke you know you just have to do it at certain times, its all just a stupid habit thats hard to break.
