…watching the progress of the server backup slowly count up. It’s about 0.001% more fun than watching paint dry. I am waiting to verify it completes successfully since I had to swap the tape back up drive here. The brand new one Dell sent with the server crapped out. BUT, they did have a replacement here in about 19 hours.

Since this is my ‘i’m bored’ thread I’ll also mention I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled on Wednesday. Surprisingly it hasn’t hurt much at all. I was prescribed some percocets but they make me so sick I asked for vicodin instead. I don’t recommend taking those on an empty stomach either because I got sick thursday from that. So even without the pain meds my face feels alright. I think I am more sore where the dentist stuck me with the needles than where the teeth were. I constantly feel compelled to play with the stitches with my tongue though.

Now on to another subject - Whats everyone doing tonight? I think myself and some friends are going to go to the city tonight but we don’t know where yet. Any suggestions? The women will want to dance so that is the only prerequisite.

  1. I hate the verify option too, but typically it is done overnight so it doesn’t bother me either way. In this case I meant I am just wasting time to make sure it finishes since it’s a new drive and the old one was shot from the get go… I am just verifying that it’s not a dud. (even though since it is actually accessing the tape I can assume its not broken)
