So i've been thinking about going to the dark side..

if you have some people that are willing to teach you and ride with you within YOUR limits and not be a dick and ride above your limit then you will be allright. When i started riding i rode with some older guys on sportbikes that were plain nasty on unbelievable back roads, the guy i rode with knew what i would be able to handle and he would tap the brakes a couple times and then point to where i should be on the road and where i should start to brake for the corner. I was 16 starting out on a bigger than starter bike, but i was taught by a great person that set me straight. I rode dirtbikes and quads all the time before streetbikes but they are a lil bit of a change. So just go out riding with a good rider thats willing to teach you a lil bit.

yea man, some guys i ride with are straight idiots just asking for it, but even that I rather them loose me before trying to go over my own limit, if you ride with somone who knows your tryin to learn and doesnt feel like dying or loosing the license that day… then your in luck but in my case alot of the guys i ride with seem to not give a shit LOL

i think you wont have a problem its just alot of lunatics go out and buy bikes haha and they ruin it for people like me and you (maybe), just go and get it i think its an awesome bike , i couldnt afford the insurance tho

otherwise get a 600 and respect it, get at least that , forget that noise about 250’s yuck (now everyone is gonna hate me :D) but whatever thats what i feel i was never looking for a 1000 but the price and look and situation was all right for me so i got it, and im glad i did but i woulda been just as happy with a R6 or any 600cc thats decent

OH and by the way (this killing my case about being responsible) lets meet up I got the tire on and im sure your car is healthy, we gotta run these things … would be an awesome race

if you saw me race the RC51… it wont be an awesome race, but it should make for a fun video. I bet you get like 6-7bikes on me by 170.

so have you decided yet swift

lololol

yeah i know what i want, and i could put half of it down, i’m just not sure what my living situation is going to be, we’ll see i just wanted some opinions on the bike… maybe later this summer or next spring

I wouldnt get a track bike with a registration as a first bike personally. Unless you wanna buy my Gixxer 750

so ducati or ?

i duno, i like the 954’s, rc51… but the 848 is def the bike i would like to ultimately have.

I’de go for the ducati if i had the money, its unique and I dont see people driving them around like i see R6’s and R1’s , respect the machine and its no more riskier than driving something slower in my opinion

went for a good ride today, sat around 140mph for a bit that was pretty nice LOL
