i duno if you already ran 14.5 and you improve your launch, take some weight out, and have a little more power i can def see maybe a 14.2… so you’re not exactly that far off from your original “claim of 14.0” … not really a big deal IMO. I think with a bunch of track practice i got my times from 15.6 to 14.9 on the same setup… but i was doing way more spinning than you probably. Good luck anyways!
Thanks man, people have run 13.96 on nissanclub with an intake on an otherwise stock SER, I’m just a good enough driver to get those times.
you’re just not? either way it should be interesting to see what you run. i’d take her for a rip if you let me :tong
I’ve only made 5 passes and done 2 auto X’s I wouldn’t call myself a pro :lol. I was consisitant though, I ran 14.60, 15.1 (fucked up 1-2 shift), 14.61, 15.3 (fucked up 2-3 shift) and then my 14.59, so I was within 3/100 second for the times that I didn’t fuck up, I was using the same launch technique every time, hard feather/drop at 2500 then 90% on the throttle with TCS, but the 3 or 4 SERs on NC who cut 2.100 all day on street tires all drop it from 1000 and feather the throttle with TCS off so as to not break traction. I’m trying method #2 on Wed. so we’ll see what happens.
I’ll let you captain the boat eventually, just not at LVD :lol
I dunno man, I think a 13.9–14.0 is highly possible. He can take an S2000 from a roll…
So can the majority of imports?
Hey!! :angry2
I keed I keed.
:ohnoes
:asshole
a 15 sec car but when did I ever say it was fast?
+1, it’s not like having a fast car is a requirement to talk!
Good thing for me!! :ohnoes :lol
word to that. my civic is my daily driver, its completely stock and isnt going to go far from that ie its gonna be lowered and I have some wheels in mind but those dont matter. In time I will have a fast car so dont you guys worry about that :gay
:lol did you get that filter for the cold air intake I gave ya?
Nope. I’m probably going to have to order one. No place really sells them in that size. Not to mention the other pieces that are missing MARK. YOU SCREWED ME! I’M HOLDING YOUR STICKERS HOSTAGE!! :lol
Edit: Joe actually JUST called me and said that he got the hook up for me. :cool
what! whats missing? i
you need to find out what your power band looks like from a dyno graph and shift at your peak power, revving beyond peak power doesnt help you. shift at peak power, youll land in your peak torque, redlining and NA is not the answer. you dont make power all the way to redline, you arent a Turbo car. i bet if you shift 2-300rpm before redlining the engine you will pick up a little bit.
I’ve learned that just from running the car so much. My car doesn’t make power over about 7400-7600 so i shift around then and fall to right where i want to be.
thats what i love about stock turbo 1.8t guys… they go out to 7,000 and wonder why they arent going anywhere. shift a stock k03 car at 5600-5800rpm and youll do work. i just go to 7500 in every gear in my car, it does what it does.
Redline is 6600 I shift at 6400, the peak hp as stated from the factory and based on dynos from other SERs. I’m getting a dyno at the end of this season so I can get my ECU reflashed next year.
come on now, if i can make a 7500 pound toy hauler run a 13.5 with some small mods and easy driving, i hope you guys can pull some thing together :lol
